Before becoming an orthodontist, Dr. John Conroy attended the University of Notre Dame where he completed his pre-dental education in 1983. In 1987, he graduated from the University of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine with his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry. Dr. Conroy then accomplished a General Practice Residency in the US Air Force Dental Corps at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
He completed his orthodontic education while still in the Air Force at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry where he earned his Master’s Degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
When Dr. Conroy is not at the practice helping his patients take care of their smiles, he enjoys spending time with his amazing wife, Jennifer, and their two daughters, Bernadette and Victoria. He loves snow skiing, saltwater ﬁshing, hiking and cheering for Notre Dame, UConn and USF football. Dr. Conroy is also involved in the Exchange Club of Middletown and sponsors youth baseball, t-ball, and basketball teams in many local communities.
Dr. Conroy’s professional affiliations include the American Association of Orthodontists, the New England Society of Orthodontics, the Connecticut State Society of Orthodontists, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Connecticut Study Club for Excellence in Dentistry, the Hartford Dental Society, the Middlesex County Dental Society and is the Coordinator for the Spear Study Club
