Meet the Team
Carol - Chief Operating Officer
Carol joined our team in 2014. Her experience in the field of healthcare began in 1997 having held positions in busy medical offices and hospital environments. She has her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology, and is presently working towards her MBA. Carol finds orthodontics fascinating! She enjoys meeting our patients and seeing the confidence they gain through the course of their treatment. She is passionate about ensuring our patients have positive experiences throughout their treatment, from their initial visit to the end of their treatment, which we consider, graduation day! Charlene - Team Lead
Charlene joined our team in 2012. Since 1995, Charlene has had extensive experience working in management for multi-doctor medical practices. She has brought a wealth of administrative knowledge to our practice. Charlene is the office go-to person for our doctors, our staff and our patients. Her friendly and caring personality and her strong organizational skills help us all navigate through our busy schedules. Charlene is always available to assist our patients and their families with their special needs or concerns.
Beth - Financial Coordinator/Team Lead
Beth has been in the dental field since 1990. She has worked in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, and in the field of orthodontics. Beth holds a degree in business with a concentration in accounting from Albertus Magnus College. Beth is very excited to be a part of our team. She loves meeting our patients and enjoys helping them with all of their financial decisions in an effort to make their orthodontic experience as stress free as possible. Beth's friendly demeanor puts our patients at ease immediately. She is always available to answer any questions concerning insurance and financing that you may have.
Rosalia - Financial Coordinator
Rosalia joined our team in 2014. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and completed a minor study in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Rosalia also holds a certificate in orthodontic assisting and is Dental National Board certified in Radiology Health and Safety. Dating back to 2007, she has clinical and administrative dental experience which includes orthodontics, general and pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. She also has over 10 years' experience in sales and customer service. Rosalia manages all aspects of patient billing, accounting and insurance benefits. She is always smiling and is committed to providing exceptional service and care to all of our patients.
Kathleen - Treatment Coordinator/Team Lead
Kathleen joined our team in 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Kathleen previously worked for Pratt & Whitney and as an elementary school substitute teacher. Her children were patients of Dr. Conroy's prior to her joining our team. Kathleen loves her work as Treatment Coordinator and says the best part of her job is talking with our new patients. She strives to make each person feel special and comfortable while in our office. She loves seeing the smiles of patients transform during their treatment.
Cheryl - Scheduling Coordinator/Treatment Coordinator
Cheryl has worked as an orthodontic treatment coordinator since 1992. During these years, she has helped thousands of people embark on their orthodontic journey. She is a transplant from Massachusetts where she worked as an orthodontic treatment coordinator for 13 years prior to joining our team in 2005. Cheryl is Dental National Board certified in Radiology Health and Safety. Prior to orthodontics, she managed a health-care agency for 14 years that provided nurses, nursing assistants and homemakers to hospitals, nursing homes and private homes. Taking care of people has always been a priority in Cheryl’s life. She always looks forward to answering all your new patient questions, and helping you or your children be on your way to a life-time of smiling. In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys travelling to visit her children and grandchildren, hiking, reading and enjoying time with her husband.
MaryJane - Front Office Coordinator
MaryJane has been in the medical/pharmaceutical sales and customer service field since 1991. She holds a Certificate of Completion in Dental Assisting from Middlesex Community College. MaryJane started her career in dentistry working in pediatrics. She is now thoroughly enjoying the field of orthodontics, working closely with patients of all ages! The highlight of MJ's day is her interaction with all of the patients who pass by her desk. MJ is always ready with a kind word and enjoys developing close relationships with our patients. She is very knowledgeable and is often the first person that our patients interact with. She strives to make scheduling appointments as smooth as possible for all of our patients. She also makes it a priority to discover something special about everyone she meets.
Kimberly - Front Office Coordinator
Kim joined our office in August of 2010, bringing with her over 20 years of customer service and administrative management experience. She is one of the first warm and smiling faces you will see when entering our office. Patients love chatting with Kim and sharing family updates between visits. When making appointments, she will do her very best to accommodate your schedule while coordinating it with office availability. If you ever have a question or concern regarding your visit, rest assured, Kim will find you the answer. Her goal is to make your experience at Conroy & MacGilpin Orthodontics an exceptional one.
Laura - Financial Coordinator/Scheduling Coordinator
Laura joins Conroy and MacGilpin Orthodontics with over twelve years experience in the dental field. With her background and knowledge she is happy to assist you with all your scheduling and appointment needs. Laura enjoys watching the patient's smile and confidence progress over the course of treatment. She loves getting to know you and your families and wants to make sure that you always have a great experience at our offices! Laura resides in Glastonbury with her husband and two pugs. She enjoys volunteering her time for Glastonbury Little League. When not working, she loves to cook and travel with her husband and spend time with her three grown children.
Betty - Clinical Supervisor
Betty has worked in orthodontics since 1978! While working, she achieved her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in business from Eastern Connecticut State University. Betty brings a breadth of knowledge and experience to our practice that can only be acquired by her years of experience working with doctors, patients and families. When a patient sits in Betty’s chair, the kindness and patience she exudes will calm even the most fearful of patients. Outside the office, Betty enjoys the time she spends with her many close friends and family. She is especially adept at finding a good bargain!
Kerry - Treatment Coordinator
Kerry has worked in orthodontics since 1997! She has worked in several capacities throughout her career. She is certified in Radiology, Infection Control and CPR. Kerry enjoys working with patients, making them feel comfortable, and of course, seeing the end results – their beautiful smiles! Her warm personality puts patients at ease. Kerry’s talents go beyond the clinic to our in-house lab where she creates retainers and appliances for our patients. Over the years, she has worked with thousands of patients, and she loves when patients recognize her outside the office and tell her about their positive orthodontic experiences!
Diane - Clinical Assistant
Diane has worked as an orthodontic assistant since 1990! She is a graduate of Briarwood College where she attended the Dental Assistant program. Diane enjoys all aspects of assisting our doctors. Her greatest gift to our office, and to our patients, is her ability to make our patients and their families feel at ease through her warm and engaging conversation. Diane’s strong clinical skills and her confident care of our patients help our doctors achieve an excellent result. Diane is especially proud of her contribution in achieving beautiful, lasting smiles for all of our patients.
Eunice - Clinical Assistant
Eunice has been an orthodontic assistant since 1993. She learned her amazing assisting skills on-the-job! Besides being an experienced and skilled assistant, “Eunie” is a natural story-teller. Stories about her family, her travels, and her dogs keep us entertained in the treatment room. Her caring and nurturing personality will make you and your children fell “at-home” and relaxed when you visit. Eunie is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Outside the office, Eunie spends as much time as possible with her family, friends and pooches making more memories.
Liz - Clinical Assistant
Liz started her assisting career in 2013. Her interest in orthodontics started when she was in braces as a child! Liz graduated from Porter & Chester Institute and is Radiology and CPR certified. Liz loves meeting our patients and is always smiling! She enjoys seeing the progress that our patients make from visit to visit. She has a passion for orthodontics that is contagious! In her spare time, Liz enjoys going to the beach, hiking with her Chihuahua, Zoey, and shopping.
Elena - Clinical Assistant
Elena studied at Central Connecticut State University and Middlesex Community College before discovering her passion for the dental field. She then attended Porter & Chester Institute to study dental assisting and graduated with certifications in Radiology, Health Safety and CPR. Elena interned for Dr. Conroy while in school, and it was at this time that she decided to pursue her career in orthodontics. Upon graduating from Porter & Chester, she worked in a general dental practice for several months. Elena joined our team in January 2014. Elena has a calming personality and she is able to make patients of all ages feel comfortable during their appointments.
Nisheena - Clinical Assistant
Nisheena has been in the health care field since 2005 and started as a CNA. She discovered a love for dentistry when attending Porter & Chester Institute of Technology, where she became a student ambassador for her dental class. She graduated in 2015, and is Radiology, Infection Control and CPR certified.She loves working with patients of all ages and enjoys all of our patients' new smiles! Nisheena is married and a mother of three. She also has a Chihuahua named Mishi and Pittbull named Fifty. Sheena loves to sing and enjoys music. She likes to sew in her spare time. She enjoys spending as much time with her family as possible!
Lisa - Clinical Intern
Lisa joined our team in August 2014 and is attending college to achieve her degree in Dental Hygiene. Lisa helps in many ways around the office. She sterilizes equipment, assists in the laboratory, assists the front desk and helps the doctors in any way possible. Lisa enjoys learning new things on the job and gaining new experiences. In her free time, Lisa enjoys making new memories with family and friends, going to the beach, hiking and kayaking.
