Dr. John Conroy
Before becoming an orthodontist, Dr. John Conroy attended the University of Notre Dame where he completed his pre-dental education in 1983. In 1987, he graduated from the University of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine with his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry. Dr. Conroy then accomplished a General Practice Residency in the US Air Force Dental Corps at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
He completed his orthodontic education while still in the Air Force at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry where he earned his Master’s Degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
As an expert in all forms of orthodontia in combination with his passion for excellence, Dr. Conroy has developed "Conroy Smile Confidence Technology," a unique integration of diagnostic and clinical skills that leverage the most cutting-edge technologies in contemporary orthodontics. Our practice blends cutting-edge research and tools with traditional, tried-and-tested orthodontic techniques to provide patients with world-class care every time. Dr. Conroy is committed to developing innovative orthodontic solutions to meet each patient’s unique needs, and we have extensive experience with a range of treatment options, including 3D-printed brackets from LightForce Orthodontics, as well as remote monitoring from Dental Monitoring.
When Dr. Conroy is not at the practice helping his patients take care of their smiles, he enjoys spending time with his amazing wife, Jennifer, and their two daughters, Bernadette and Victoria. He loves taking care of his bees, snow skiing, saltwater fishing, hiking and cheering for Notre Dame, UConn and USF football. Dr. Conroy is also a lector for Our Lady of Mercy Parish and is a part of the CT Mission of Mercy.
